Driver Information
Everything you need to show up ready to race. If your question isn't answered here, reach out before race day — not after you've already loaded the trailer.
Registration & Check-In
- Driver registration opens at 4:30 PM on race nights when pit gates open. Check-in closes 30 minutes before scheduled hot laps.
- First-time competitors must register in person at the pit office and provide a valid driver's license.
- Annual membership forms are available at the pit office or by contacting us ahead of your first race.
- All cars must be registered and numbered before entering the pit area. Duplicate numbers will be resolved by the pit steward on a first-come basis.
- Transponders are required for all divisions. Loaner units are available at the pit office for a $20 deposit.
Tech Inspection
- Tech lane opens at 4:30 PM and closes 15 minutes before the start of hot laps.
- All cars must pass tech before they are permitted on the racing surface, no exceptions.
- Post-race tech is conducted on top finishers in every feature. Disqualification for tech failure is final.
- Bring your rule book. Tech officials reference the current season rulebook — published on this site — for every inspection.
- Protest procedures and fees are outlined in the rulebook. All protests must be filed before the completion of the event.
Divisions & Classes
- Chemung Speedrome currently sanctions four divisions: 4-Cyl, Hobby Stocks, Super Stocks, and Mods — all four run feature events every race night.
- Feature lengths: 4-Cyl 15 laps, Hobby Stocks 20 laps, Super Stocks 25 laps, Mods 30 laps. Full division rules are available in the 2026 rulebook — contact us to request a copy.
- Engine, tire, and body rules are division-specific. Review your division's section carefully before building or modifying a car.
- Questions about class eligibility should be directed to the tech director before race day, not at the tech lane.
Track Rules
- Aggressive or retaliatory driving will result in immediate black-flag disqualification and may result in suspension.
- All drivers are expected to conduct themselves professionally in the pit area, on pit road, and on the racing surface.
- Alcohol is not permitted in the pit area at any time. Violation results in removal from the facility.
- Pit speed limit is 10 MPH. The pace car sets the pit entrance and exit pace during caution periods.
- The flagman and race director have final authority over all on-track decisions.
Payouts
- Feature payouts are posted in the pit office at the start of each race night.
- Payout structure is based on car count — a minimum car count per division is required for full payout.
- All payouts are issued in cash at the pit office following the completion of tech on that night's features.
- Points fund details and end-of-season championship payouts will be published ahead of the 2026 season opener.
2026 Rulebook
The full division rulebook will be available as a PDF download before the season opener. Tech officials reference this document at every inspection.
